When you return to the pact it will show the bounty for the second boss as being complete for both heat 1 and 2 even though you only beat it on heat 2. Let's say you didn't though, and beat the first 2 bosses at heat 2 with the spear. You can then start a game at heat 1 with the spear and collect the remaining 3 bounties. If you reduce the heat level back to 1, it will show you the first boss as being defeated but the remaining bosses with ?s. If you switch to the spear and return to the pact, it will still say heat 2 and show all bounties available with ?s but the gauge will say "Heat Gauge exceeded!!! Choose fewer conditions?" because you haven't beat the final boss at heat 1 yet with that weapon. If you do, it will show new bounties for all the bosses. If you go to the pact with the sword, the pact will advise you to increase the heat level to 2. Let's say you've beat the first boss with the spear at heat 1, switch to the sword and then beat the final boss at heat 1. When you beat the final boss with a weapon at a certain heat level, the game guides you to increase the heat level by 1 if you have that weapon equipped at the pact. ![]() If you're saying that the heat level is advanced for all weapons once you beat the final boss at a heat level with one weapon - that's not true. Is this what you mean? (because you said "when you finish a run at a higher heat level") While you can select a higher heat level than you've defeated the final boss for, you should select the level with the weapon you still haven't beat the final boss for, or lower. The game/pact advises you to start at the lowest heat and work your way up 1 level at a time after every final boss kill (it doesn't prevent you from doing so). Once the Pact is unlocked, you're free to select any heat level with any weapon, regardless of whether you've beat bosses at lower heat levels with that weapon or not. ![]() The only unlocking that takes place with normal heat is the first final boss kill that unlocks the Pact. It looks like you're misunderstanding something but I'm not sure where. Originally posted by Yggdrasil Burnes:In a regular mode run, when you finish a run at a higher heat level, you unlock the next heat level for ALL weapons, ![]() The allure of an even higher difficulty and lack of safety net will probably win me over regardless, but I'd still like to know. In regular mode, you can reduce the Heat to receive easier bounties if you skipped them or forgot, so I'd like to know beforehand how to approach it. I'd like to redo it on Hell Mode, and 100% it, since the high-damage shield will be gone and I'll just die more often, but it wouldn't really be 100% if I miss entire bounty rewards in the process. Like, end of main story beat, and even starting a new game on 1.0, it felt like I missed a lot of the natural flow of the game, even intentionally dying to let event flags catch up. kinda beat the game no problem in regular mode. In a regular mode run, when you finish a run at a higher heat level, you unlock the next heat level for ALL weapons, and can freely adjust the Heat to obtain new or older bounties, but since Hell Mode permanently enables 5 heat levels, does this mean that succeeding a run will permanently bar me from accessing the remaining bounties for previous tiers, or do they function differently from regular mode bounties? At best case scenario, if they aren't receivable, I'm missing out on 5 Titan Blood every run I win, at worst, 5 Diamonds and Ambrosia on top of that.
